Formulas

Type it once, fill it down — every cell stays live.

The formula bar works the way you already know it: type = and a formula in a cell, then fill it down a column, and every cell recalculates as its inputs change. Cell references, ranges and nested functions all work; the result is a number, a date, text or a sparkline, depending on what you asked for.

156 functions

Start typing, and the catalog completes it.

Type =SU and the functions that start with it appear, with what each one does; pick one and the arguments are laid out for you. 156 functions in 9 groups — the maths, statistics, text, dates, lookups, logic and finance a working sheet needs — with the names you know from other spreadsheets.

  • 019 groups: financial, charts, logical, text, date & time, lookup & reference, math & trig, statistical, information
  • 02Autocomplete with a description of each function
  • 03The familiar names — SUM, IF, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, PMT, SPARKLINE

156 functions, in 9 groups.

Spreadsheets

A spreadsheet that lives with the work it counts.

Most teams keep a spreadsheet somewhere else: the budget in one tool, the plan in another, the link between them in someone's head. A Kanvly sheet is a real spreadsheet — 256 columns by 10,000 rows, a formula bar, 156 functions — that lives in the same workspace as the board it budgets and the page that explains it, under the same permissions and the same search.

It works the way a spreadsheet should. Type = and the function catalog completes the name; fill a formula down and every cell recalculates as its inputs change; freeze the first columns, sort, filter rows by value, find a value anywhere on the sheet. A column can be text, a number, a date, a checkbox, a select — or an AI column that fills itself from the other cells in its row.

The sheet's assistant proposes before it writes. Ask for a total row, a clean-up, a column that summarises the others, and it shows the rows and formulas it intends to add; approve them and they land as live formulas, not pasted numbers. Select a range and a chart — bar, line, area or pie — draws from the same cells and can be downloaded as a PNG.

Why here
The numbers sit beside the board, the page and the deck they are about — one search, one set of permissions.
Familiar
The function names, the fill-down, the formula bar: what you know from other spreadsheets.
Proposed first
The assistant shows the formula before it writes it.
