NewWorkspace update.Read the launch

It proposes. You approve.

One assistant across boards, pages, sheets, slides, forms and the calendar. It drafts the plan, shows every change, and writes nothing until you say yes.

Nothing is written until you say yes.

How a change happens.

  1. 01

    Ask

Type what you want in the assistant panel: a board for the launch, three cards for the bugs you just found, a total row under the numbers, a deck about the quarter.

  2. 02

    It proposes

The assistant answers with a proposal — every change it intends, listed one by one, each with the glyph the app uses for that kind of action: added, moved, edited, removed, scheduled.

  3. 03

    You review

Approve the proposal or discard it; nothing has been written yet. In Auto mode, a few small, safe changes save themselves — everything else still waits for you.

  4. 04

    It is saved

Approved changes land in the workspace like any other edit — on the board, in the page, in the sheet — and count against the month's AI budget.

Ask anything about your workspace...

The words it uses.

Proposal
The assistant's answer to a request: a list of changes it intends to make, shown before any of them is made. Approve it whole or discard it.
Action
One change to one thing — a card added, a date moved, a cell updated, a slide redesigned. There are more than ninety kinds; a proposal can hold several.
Review
The approval mode in which every proposal waits for you: approve before save.
Auto
The approval mode in which a few small, safe changes save themselves — at most three per proposal — and anything larger still asks.
AI Docs
A page drafted from a prompt — “Plan today”, “Find blockers”, “Turn notes into actions” — with the assistant beside it. Drop in a .docx, .md, .html, .txt or .pdf to start from a document you already have.
Budget
What each plan includes for the month: a number of AI actions and AI docs. The table below has the figures.

    Where it works

One assistant, every surface — and a leash.

The assistant reads the workspace it is in — the boards, the pages, the sheets, the slides, the forms, the calendar — and can act on all of it. It creates a board and its lists, adds and moves cards, edits a page, updates a sheet, schedules an event, writes a form's questions, adds or redesigns a slide, invites a member. Each of those is an action; a request usually becomes several.

Three surfaces have an assistant panel of their own, with starting prompts written for them. In Sheets it adds a total row with live formulas, cleans a column, or fills a column from the others. In Forms it writes the questions from what the form is for. In Slides it drafts a whole deck from one prompt, with an outline you edit before a slide exists.

It is kept on a leash. A single proposal can create at most five things and remove at most ten, so one sentence cannot rewrite a workspace; every removal is listed before you approve it; and in Review mode nothing is written without your yes. Auto mode loosens the leash only for a few small, safe changes at a time.

    Surfaces
Boards, cards, pages, sheets, slides, forms, the calendar, members.
    Own panels
Sheets, Forms and Slides each have an assistant panel with prompts written for them.
    Caps
At most five things created and ten removed per proposal; at most three changes applied on their own in Auto mode.

    Questions about the assistant.

Not in Review mode: the assistant answers with a list of proposed changes, and nothing is written until you approve them. Auto mode saves only a few small, safe changes on its own; everything else still waits for you.
